Welcome to Little RES Q's Boarding Services

The Little RES Q is pleased to offer a first-class housing, husbandry, and hygiene service for your pet reptile based on species requirements. High priority is given to stimulation, foraging and social contact contributing to achieving the happiness and general well-being of your pet reptile, while in our care.

 

 

While in our care, we are able to offer:   

  • daily, biweekly or weekly feeding with calcium and vitamin D3 supplements
  • UVB lighting so that vitamin D3 can be synthesized, essential for good health
  • an appropriate day time temperature, falling at night
  • décor and substrate varies to suit all ecosystems
  • hiding places or climbing branches based on species requirements.
  • water provided in the manner required by the species (water dish, misting, fogger etc.)
  • All fruit and vegetables are thoroughly washed before feeding
  • Water dishes are cleaned regularly
  • Aquariums, Terrariums, and Vivariums are cleaned as necessary before, after and during the animal's stay
  • High priority is given to stimulation, foraging and social contact contributing to achieving the happiness and general well-being of your pet reptile, while in our care
  • We have a reptile veterinarian that's able to care for your animal should a need arise.

 

Turtle Taxi

If you are not able to get your animal to the shelter, we do have transportation services available upon request.

This service is only available within two hours from the postal code  L0E 1N0 - This includes the GTA, South River, Kitchener, Hamilton, Cobourg, Peterborough, and Owen Sound. If you're not sure if you're within the radius for turtle taxi, please refer to our map below. 

We reserve the right to refuse any request for a turtle taxi if conditions for travel are not safe  or deemed to be unfit for the driver.

Transport fee/Turtle Taxi: $1/km charged one way from the rescue location.
